Ron was voted the 2015 and 2013 New Times Best Dentist in SLO and was Runner Up in 2014 and 2016!

Ron was born in New Haven, Connecticut and his family soon moved to Redwood City on the San Francisco Peninsula.  The youngest of three boys, Ron was the first to graduate college, gaining his BS in Biology from Cal-State University, Hayward in 1972.  Ron’s dental degree is from Georgetown University in our nation’s capital in 1976.  While living in Washington, D.C., Ron was able to reconnect with his very large, extended Italian-American family in Connecticut.

Following dental school, Ron was fortunate enough to join Dr. Stan Von Stein’s practice in San Luis Obispo in October of 1976 and has been in practice here ever since.

Ron has one child, Damon, who practices orthodontics in Nashville, Tennessee where he lives with his wife, Mclean, twin daughters Tate & Olivia, and son, James.

Ron’s wife, Maureen, has worked in our practice as a hygienist since 1980.  Together they enjoy working in their small yard (“it’s just the right size”) and Ron still enjoys hot rods and guitars.
